From signing up to test day, here's how Instructra works for learners.
Create your account
Download the Instructra app and sign up with your name and email. We email you a 6-digit code to check it's really you, pop that in, then sign in and you're ready to go. The app is made For Learners, so everything is set up around finding and booking lessons.
Explore instructors
On the Explore tab you can browse instructors and search by name. Tap the filter to narrow things down by manual or automatic, test centre, gender, language and rating. If someone recommends an instructor, you can even scan their code to jump straight to them.

Check a profile
Open any instructor to see their full profile: a short bio, the car they teach in and whether it's manual or automatic, reviews from other learners, and all of their lessons and prices under Pricing & Policies. It's everything you need to decide if they're the right fit.
Book a lesson
Happy with an instructor? Tap See available times, pick a day and a Morning, Afternoon or Evening slot. With block bookings you can even mix different lesson lengths. Choose where you'd like to be picked up, then send your request. It shows as Booking requested, pending confirmation, until your instructor confirms. There's no card payment in the app, so you simply arrange payment directly with your instructor.
Message and manage
Once you've booked, you can message your instructor straight from the booking to sort out your pickup and ask any questions. All your lessons live under Bookings, split into Next up and Coming up, and you can cancel or ask to reschedule from there. Messaging opens up after you book, so there's nothing to arrange before a lesson exists.
Your driving journey so far
Track your progress
After each lesson your instructor rates how you did on your manoeuvres and skills and sets a goal for next time. It all builds up in My Diary, so you can see how far you've come and exactly what to focus on next.
